评选方式(2026)
bestmalaysiaplaces.com 是独立指南,没有任何地点付费上榜或购买排名。
How a place gets in
- It must be operating in 2026, with a full address and recent (2025/26) visitor reviews.
- We look for a Google Maps rating of about 4.3 or higher with a meaningful number of reviews, plus at least two independent sources: tourism boards, park authorities, editorial lists, official pages.
- Places marked closed are dropped and logged in our changelog. Ratings that fall under 4.0 are dropped too.
- Entries we have not yet re-confirmed show "⚠️ Not yet re-verified for 2026. Check fees, hours and that it is open before you go.".
The score (0–100)
A consensus of editorial "best of" lists, Google rating weighted by the log of the review count, awards (UNESCO World Heritage, MICHELIN Keys for hotels, national tourism awards) and how long the place has been well known. Ties go to the higher tier. We re-check every place each quarter (1 January, April, July and October).
Hibiscus tiers
- 🌺🌺🌺 Legenda (Legend / Must-Visit): Iconic. Nationally famous and worth planning a trip around. +30 XP
- 🌺🌺🌺 Sangat Disyorkan (Highly Recommended): Widely loved. Worth a special journey. +20 XP
- 🌺🌺🌺 Berbaloi (Worth the Detour): A strong local favourite, worth a detour if you are nearby. +10 XP
We keep at most about three Legends per category, so the top tier stays meaningful.
Muslim-friendly information
We only say "halal" for food outlets with a confirmed JAKIM certificate. Hotels and venues we have not verified are described as "pork-free". "Surau" means a prayer room on site or right next door.
Independence
- An invite or a complimentary stay never guarantees a feature, a review or a ranking.
- Rankings are never for sale.
- Hosted visits are labelled "Hosted visit" when published.
- We cover the good and the not-so-good.
- We only say "halal" when your F&B outlet holds a valid JAKIM (or state) certificate, so please mention it.
Links and photos
We only link to official websites and social accounts. Images are shown only when they are hosted by the place itself or come via the Google Places API with the contributor credited.
Safety
Waterfalls can flash-flood after rain upstream. East Coast seas close for the monsoon (about November to March). Mount Kinabalu, Gunung Mulu adventure caves and many national-park trails require permits and licensed guides. Check jellyfish and rip-current warnings at beaches, and wear leech socks in the rainforest.
