Why go

A low royal-town hill by the Langat estuary with a 1976 lighthouse on top and paragliders drifting off the ridge when the wind behaves. Short jungle trails and a sunset over the mangroves make it a lovely add-on to a Jugra heritage day.

Entry fee: Free; Bukit Jugra appears on the 2026 SeForest register for the forest trails, so check before hiking (the lighthouse road is public)

Best time to go: Late afternoon for sunset; weekends for paragliding
Time needed: 1–2 hours; short forest trails to the lighthouse, easy–moderate with some rope sections (~8 km loop option)
How to get there: Drive about 10 km from Banting town; start near Masjid Al-Muttaqim, Kampung Permatang Pasir, or drive the steep narrow road up to the lighthouse area. Limited parking at the top.
