#35 Hiking Trails in Malaysia · 2026
Gunung Hitam
🌺🌺🌺 Worth the Detour · 🥾 Hiking Trails
Why go
The quieter, tougher neighbour of Gunung Nuang: a 1,220 m peak on the Selangor-Negeri Sembilan border, reached by a long climb through proper rainforest with rope sections near the top. Far fewer people do it, so it suits hikers who want a serious day out without the Nuang crowds.
⭐ Don't miss: The KL View checkpoint about 1.5 hours in, then Batu Gobok on the ridge

Sungai Gabai Waterfall
💦 Waterfalls · Sungai Gabai, Hulu Langat, Selangor
Probably the easiest proper jungle waterfall from the Klang Valley: a short, shaded walk from the car park and you are in cool, clear pools. Weekends get packed with families, so go on a weekday if you want the water to yourself.
